Carlos Hyde Expected To Open Season As Starter

According to a report from long-time Cleveland Browns beat reporter Tony Grossi, Carlos Hyde is expected to open the season as the team's starting running back. Hyde signed with the team as a free agent this offseason but the selection of Nick Chubb in April's draft cast some uncertainty over what Hyde's role would be. Grossi expects Chubb to spell Hyde in the early going, although it wouldn't be a surprise to see Chubb eventually overtake Hyde as the team's lead back at some point during the season. They will most likely cut into each other's production this season, leaving neither as a reliable fantasy option.
