Carlos Correa Lands On Injured List
5 months agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Carlos Correa (foot) was placed on the 10-day injured on Saturday, July 20, with right-foot plantar fasciitis. In a corresponding move, the Twins recalled second baseman Edouard Julien from Triple-A St. Paul. Correa was absent from the starting nine over the final two games before the mid-summer classic and will now sit out for at least the next 10 games. The 29-year-old has been enjoying a nice bounce back season, posting an excellent .308/.377/.520 line with 13 long balls and 47 RBI. Julien could see stable playing time while Correa is sidelined but has struggled in the big leagues this season with a disappointing .211 AVG. In the minor leagues, the 25-year-old has held a mere .233 AVG. Julien could be worth a speculative add in deeper leagues if he can produce during this stint.
