Caleb Sturgis Gets New Holder
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers' kicking woes date back further than their city name, but they decided to shake things up this week by getting Caleb Sturgis a new holder. Instead of deciding that the last few kickers, all of who were cast-offs who were unable to get jobs with any other team, were the problem, head coach Anthony Lynn swapped out the team's punter/holder. Lynn released punter Drew Kaser, a 2016 draft pick, and signed Donnie Jones, a 38-year-old punter who had retired this summer before deciding he wanted to come back one more time. Jones won the Super Bowl last year with Philly, so maybe he can finally be the key to fix LA's kicking problems.
