Caleb Smith Left Sunday's Start With Left Shoulder Tightness
Caleb Smith (shoulder) left Sunday's start against Colorado due to left shoulder tightness. When Smith first exited it was believed to be a groin injury, but unfortunately the injury was to his throwing shoulder. The severity is still unknown but an injury to a pitching shoulder is never good. In 15 starts in 2018, Smith holds a 4.03 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and a K:BB of 87:32 in 76 innings pitched. There should be more updates on Smith soon, but don't be surprised if he misses a start or two.
