C.J. Stroud Progressing Through Concussion Protocol
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is making progress through the NFL's concussion protocol ahead of Week 11. Stroud suffered the injury on a hard hit in Week 9 and was unable to clear protocol in time for last week's matchup. In his absence, backup Davis Mills led the Texans to one of their best offensive performances of the season, throwing for 312 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-29 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Stroud's status will be worth monitoring throughout the week as Houston prepares for a divisional showdown with the Tennessee Titans. If Stroud returns, he'll look to regain form and fend off any conversations of a quarterback controversy following Mills' strong outing.
