Defending Arnold Palmer Invitational champion Bryson DeChambeau has officially withdrawn from the 2022 API. In a video statement released on his Twitter account Monday afternoon, DeChambeau cited his lingering injuries and the fear of a possible setback as the reason for his decision not to defend his title at Bay Hill this week. The 28-year-old's quest for distance and speed has been well-documented, though his injuries can't be directly traced to his new training philosophy. He said in the release that he is going to "try" to be ready for next week's Players Championship, though he should be considered highly questionable for any upcoming events.--Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
