Bryce Harper 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Phillies First Baseman Motivated to Rebound in 2026
For the third time in four seasons, Bryce Harper failed to reach the 600 plate appearance threshold. He still put together a good season with 27 home runs, 12 steals, 72 runs, and 75 RBI with a .261/.357/.487 slash line. But those who drafted Harper with an early-round pick were likely a bit underwhelmed. Even Philadelphia's President of Baseball Operations, Dave Dombrowski, made comments about Harper not being elite anymore, which appears to have lit a fire under the future Hall of Famer. Harper's quality of contact metrics remained well above Major League average in 2025, and his walk and strikeout rates were in line with previous seasons. However, Harper saw his zone and overall contact rates both drop around four percent. Avoiding the IL will be crucial, but I'm not betting against a nice bounce-back season from Harper in 2026. His ADP near pick 50 makes him a more affordable option in fantasy drafts too.
