The Pittsburgh Penguins won a wild game in the shootout against the Los Angeles Kings by a score of 5-4. Right-winger Bryan Rust scored the shootout winner after recording two goals and an assist in regulation time. He now has 12 goals and 22 points in 19 games this season. He’s on pace to shatter his career marks of 18 goals (2018-19) and 38 points (2017-18) thanks to his presence on the top line and the power play with Jake Guentzel. The 25-year-old Guentzel also had a strong game and recorded three assists on the night. Goaltender Tristan Jarry allowed four goals but faced 42 shots from the Kings, the second highest total he’s seen this season. On the flip side, the Penguins managed just 27 shots against Kings netminder Jonathan Quick, who continues to struggle in 2019-20. Winger Tyler Toffoli has now recorded two points in each of his past three games.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
