Bryan Reynolds 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Multi-Category Contributor to Rebound After Disappointing 2025 Campaign
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds had been a reliable multi-category fantasy producer for the last several seasons, however, in 2025, he manufactured just a 99 wRC+, the lowest of his career (2020 aside). An early-season shoulder ailment that limited him to DH duties for a time could be partly to blame for his slow start. The switch-hitter has historically been fairly consistent pre- and post All-Star break, owning a career .274/.347/.464 slash before the All-Star Game and a .269/.346/.453 slash after the Midsummer Classic, however, last year he recorded a .225/.287/.369 slash pre-ASG and a normalized .276/.364/.453 slash post-ASG. Not only did he finish strong, his peripheral season-long stats saw year-over-year improvements in some cases, including contact, chase, barrel, and hard-hit rates, which should provide optimism for 2026. Look for the 30-year-old to get back to the 20-home run threshold with solid RBI and run production, and if he can get back to a decent .265 batting average, the 2x All-Star should be a value at his current NFBC ADP of 198 overall, whereas RotoBaller ranks him at 185 overall.
