Bruce Brown Jr. 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoEntering his second NBA campaign, shooting guard Bruce Brown Jr. is expected to earn the majority of starts at the off-guard spot for the Pistons. Last season, he started 56 of the 74 games that he appeared in, but that did not necessarily translate to fantasy relevance, as he saw just 19.6 minutes per game and averaged 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds during his time on the floor. Utilized primarily for defensive purposes with Detroit’s starting five, Brown shot 39.8 percent from the floor overall, including a less-than-inspiring 25.8 percent from deep. There exists the possibility of a second-year offensive jump for the guard out of Miami (FL), but with the Pistons’ plethora of guards, Brown can likely be safely avoided in most traditional year-long formats with the occasional eye on ownership in specific DFS slates.
