Brook Lopez Swats Six Shots To Kick Off New Year
Brook Lopez has reinvented himself before to remain an impact player in the league, and he appears to have done so again in 2019-20, as he notched six blocked shots during Wednesday’s win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. On pace to set a new career high with 2.5 blocks per game, Lopez has moved into second place in the league for blocked shots on a nightly basis. He also added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists versus Minnesota, as his woes continued from behind the arc, having shot a combined 1-for-15 over his past three games. But even without contributions coming from three, Lopez remains a relevant fantasy commodity heading into Saturday against the Spurs, riding an eight-game streak of having recorded at least one block.
