Brian Anderson Likely To Make Opening Day Roster
7 years agoWith the Miami Marlins in full rebuild mode, third baseman Brian Anderson is likely to earn himself the third base gig on Opening Day in 2018. Anderson has had his ups-and-downs throughout his minor league career, but had a nice season between Double-A and Triple-A last season where he hit .275 with 22 home runs and 81 RBI. That led to a big league promotion towards the end of the 2017 campaign. Over that time in 84 at-bats, Anderson .261 with no home runs and struck out 28 times. Anderson should be able to get at-bats for the Marlins this year, but aside from NL-only leagues, he is not someone who is a must-draft.
