Heading into Wednesday’s AL East rivalry matchup against the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner was really struggling. Hitting .198, he responded with his best game of the season, recording three hits. His biggest of the game, however, came in the eighth, with his club trailing by a run. The veteran drilled a two-run triple to straightaway center, putting the Yankees ahead.
