6 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner (toe), who had an ingrown toenail removed on Sunday night, is likely to return to the starting lineup on Thursday, according to manager Aaron Boone. The 35-year-old veteran is hitting a mediocre .254/.335/.484 with 17 home runs, 67 runs, 50 RBI and nine steals in 370 at-bats this year for the first-place Bombers. While he doesn't stand out in any one category, Gardner's fantasy stock is boosted by the fact that he plays for the potent Yankees, and he can contribute modestly with his power and speed in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
