Montreal Canadiens right wing Brendan Gallagher tallied two points during their overtime victory over the New York Rangers on Sunday evening. Gallagher scored his 11th goal of the season in the opening frame with a tip-in goal. Later in the second period, Gallagher would tally the primary assist on Christian Dvorak's fourth goal of the season. He also logged five shots on goal and two hits in this contest. This performance snapped a nine-game scoring drought for Gallagher, and this was his first multi-point outing of the campaign. Overall, the 32-year-old has tallied 11 goals and eight helpers through 46 games. He should continue to have a permanent role on the third line of the Montreal offense.--Andy Smith
