Brandon Saad Expected To Make Season Debut On Tuesday
6 months agoSt. Louis Blues left wing Brandon Saad (personal) has been activated from the non-roster list and is expected to make his season debut on Tuesday against Minnesota. Saad has missed the first three games of the year to welcome a third child to his family. The veteran winger practiced on the top line on Wednesday. He is also poised for second power-play duty. As a player who's on the cusp of earning his 500th career point, Saad could do plenty of damage in a first-line role, although his effectiveness has been lacking on the offensive front in recent years. To make room for Saad on the roster, the Blues placed Alexandre Texier (upper body) on Injured Reserve on Monday.

Brandon Saad Ends Goal Drought With A Hat Trick
3 months agoSt. Louis Blues left wing Brandon Saad had his best game of the season in Friday's matchup against Ottawa, scoring his third career hat trick in a 4-0 win. Saad tallied three consecutive goals after Brayden Schenn opened the scoring. He entered the game with a 19-game goal drought. It has been a strange campaign for Saad, as he has increased his goal tally with only multi-goal performances. The 32-year-old has not had much success on the offensive end, picking up seven goals and six assists in 34 appearances. A top-line role next to Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich puts Saad in a good position to get going offensively, but fantasy managers definitely shouldn't bet on it.

Brandon Saad Gets Another Goal In Monday's Loss
1 year agoSt. Louis Blues left wing Brandon Saad scored in a third consecutive game on Monday against the Vegas Golden Knights, knotting things up late in regulation before the team was defeated 2-1 in overtime. Saad is averaging the fewest points in six seasons and won't be happy with his form, but he has found his scoring stick lately. The veteran winger has tallied six goals in his past 10 appearances, adding three assists. Saad is looking to push past the 40-point mark this week, having tallied 23 goals and 14 assists across 72 appearances in 2023-24.
