Brandon Lowe Exits Early With Foot Contusion On Saturday Afternoon
6 months agoTampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe (foot) left the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates early on Saturday afternoon with a right foot contusion. He was removed from the game as a precaution and was replaced by Isaac Paredes. The injury is not believed to be serious and was suffered on a hit-by-pitch by rookie Jared Jones. Lowe is hitting .217 with five home runs and 22 RBI in 115 at-bats for the Rays this season. Consider him day-to-day at this point. Should he miss time, look for Amed Rosario or Richie Palacios to get a start or two in the meantime.
