6 months agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Brad Keller wasn't the only Royals pitcher to get destroyed by Oakland on Monday, but he was the first. Keller went just 1 1/3 innings while allowing five earned runs before he was lifted and replaced by a bevy of other pitchers who got lit up as well. Keller gave up just three hits, but he also walked three batters and only struck out one in his short outing. Keller is looking at being limited down the stretch, but realistically, he shouldn't be owned in the majority of leagues anyway. While he's managed a respectable 4.19 ERA to this point, he only strikes out 6.64 batters per nine innings, well below average. He's scheduled to face the Orioles next, if anyone's desperate for playoff time, but his start could get pushed back, depending on how the team wants to limit him.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
