Boston Scott 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Ultra-Deep League Handcuff Stash
1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Boston Scott has been a solid depth piece for the team over the last five seasons, but he has yet to be a real asset for fantasy managers. In 2023, he'll enter the season as the fourth-string RB for the Eagles. Miles Sanders signed with the Carolina Panthers this offseason, but Philadelphia added D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny, meaning he won't see an expanded role. That said, Swift and Penny have had plenty of injury issues in their young careers, so Scott could be worth rostering in the deepest of leagues. If Scott finds himself in a starting role or as a significant piece in a committee, he'll have plenty of fantasy value in one of the league's elite offenses. For now, he should be viewed as nothing more than a waiver wire watchlist candidate when the 2023 NFL season begins.
