Benny Snell Jr. Ready For First Training Camp
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Benny Snell Jr. is entering his rookie season after being selected in the fourth round of this year's draft. The Kentucky product is fresh off a fruitful career in the SEC. He rushed for 1,000 yards in all three seasons, including 1,449 yards and 16 scores in 2018. Snell knows that the NFL is an entirely different game, and after recently finishing the team's mini camp, he is ready to hit the ground running at training camp in late July. "I knew the tempo was going to be faster than it normally is for college ball," the rookie said. Snell is power back who will be fighting with second-year back Jaylen Samuels to backup incumbent James Conner. The rookie doesn't hold any redraft value, but he does warrant some interest in dynasty drafts. If anything were to happen to Conner, Snell would likely become a big part of the Steelers' powerful offense.
