Ben Sinnott 2024 Outlook: High-Upside In Year One
6 months agoWashington Commanders' rookie tight end Ben Sinnott was selected in Round 2 of the NFL Draft as the second tight end off the board. Sinnott walked on to Kansas State as a freshman, but was the top playmaker on the team as a junior as he caught 49 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns. The Sam LaPorta comparisons are heating up given the similar playstyle of the two tight ends, but an 889 yard, 10 touchdown season is a very high expectation to live up to. Sinnott walks into a room with veteran Zach Ertz set to compete for the starting role. The receiver room is lacking behind Terry McLaurin, offering immediate opportunity for Sinnott to see success. Rookie quarterbacks often target tight ends, and Sinnott will function as Jayden Daniels' security blanket from the jump. The tight end position does not offer much upside outside of the top options, and Sinnott is one of the best that you can find later in drafts.
