5 months agoThe San Francisco 49ers played it safe with their whole running back until in Saturday's preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys, as all four of the players who are expected to make the final roster didn't play. If there is an opening, it's for the fourth-string spot that Jeffrey Wilson Jr. currently holds, but Saturday didn't show us much in terms of a potential change to that spot. Austin Walter had 18 total touches, rushing 13 times for 38 yards and adding five catches for 32, so if there's a back to keep an eye on after this one, it'd be him. Still, his best chance at fantasy relevance is to end up on a different team when the regular season rolls around.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
