Austin Hedges Homers In Second Straight Game

San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges unloaded for a grand slam off of Blue Jays starter Edwin Jackson Saturday afternoon. He's now homered in back-to-back games as he now has six on the year with 15 RBI. Despite the offense scoring 19 runs, Hedges' only other productive at-bat came when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded as he wore a golden sombrero with four strikeouts on the day. He's batting on the interstates with a .195 batting average providing fantasy value solely in NL-only leagues. The 26-year-old remains the number one backstop in town but isn't worth roster consideration until he shows more consistency at the plate.
