Austin Ekeler Is Incredibly Efficient
6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler is the model of modern efficiency in the NFL. Ekeler is the next iteration of Danny Woodhead as he has adopted the "backup" role to Melvin Gordon and made it into a weapon. Ekeler is only averaging 9.5 touches per game, but he's turning those into an average of 82 yards per game. He's picked up 203 yards on the ground and 207 through the air, and he's a threat to make an explosive play every single time he sees a snap. His touches will remain limited and that will eventually mean he puts up some empty weeks, but for now, he should be able to rip off something nice against a young Cleveland defense.
