Austin Eckroat is starting to live up to the hype in his first season as a PGA Tour professional. The promising Oklahoma State alum and Korn Ferry Tour star has made seven straight cuts heading into this week's Rocket Mortgage Classic, including a runner-up finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson and a 10th-place finish in just his second major appearance at the US Open. Eckroat posted another top-25 finish at last week's elevated Travelers Championship despite losing 1.4 strokes ball-striking, which is an area of his game that is typically a strength and has served as a catalyst for his improved recent performance. Look for Eckroat to bounce back with his irons this week and make a push for his fourth top-10 finish of 2023.--Ryan Hickey
