11 months agoTexas Rangers infielder Asdrubal Cabrera was removed from the game early on Wednesday after he appeared to jam his fingers on his right hand while diving back to first base on a pickoff attempt. Cabrera had a single, run scored and a walk in his three plate appearances before getting injured. He's off to a bit of a slow start with a .232 average, but Cabrera does have two doubles, six home runs, 12 runs scored and 13 RBI on the year, so he's still doing things for his fantasy owners. Manager Chris Woodward said he removed Cabrera as a precaution, and the infielder checked out fine with the medical staff. Cabrera might miss a game or two, but he shouldn't be out for too long.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
