Anthony Edwards Suffers A Hip Injury, Expects To Miss Sunday
2 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards left Friday's contest against the Clippers with hip soreness and doesn't expect to play Sunday versus Houston. The injury limited him to only 23 minutes of action and a season-low five points. It also comes at a really bad time, as Edwards was enjoying a nice scoring spurt, averaging 30.3 points per game across the previous four contests. He is the Timberwolves' leading scorer with 23.7 points, and Edwards is also boasting career numbers with 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Austin Rivers and Jaylen Nowell should share Edwards' minutes whilst he's unavailable.
