Anthony Alford Drives In Four For Triple-A Buffalo
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfield prospect Anthony Alford went 2-for-4 with a home run and four runs batted in for Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday. Alford went 0-for-3 in an extremely brief MLB stint from April 2-4 (bringing his career line to 3-for-30) but has been at Triple-A the rest of the year. Despite the home run, Alford is only hitting .242/.324/.399 in 223 Triple-A plate appearances this season, for a wRC+ of 86. Alford was a top 100 prospect from 2016-18 but his stock has dropped precipitously since then. He turns 25 next month and even his dynasty value is questionable at this point.
