Andres Munoz 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Expect Excellency But Not A 2025 Repeat
After three consecutive seasons of outstanding numbers, Andres Munoz had his best year in 2025. He had a career-high 38 saves, a career-best 1.73 ERA, and his 32.7% K% ranked in the 96th percentile. Munoz will once again start the season as the best bullpen arm in Seattle, entering games behind one of the best starting rotations in the Majors. There is little reason to believe Munoz won't be a top-five fantasy reliever again in 2026, but we should still expect some regression. Munoz's 3.05 xFIP and 2.98 SIERA suggest his 1.73 ERA was fortunate. Both his xFIP and SIERA were similar to what Munoz had in 2023 (2.94 ERA) and 2024 (2.12 ERA). That's not to say Munoz can't still be elite if his ERA regresses. His 2.82 xERA (expected ERA) ranked in the 93rd percentile. Given Munoz was one of only five pitchers to record 30 saves and tally 80 strikeouts, even a higher ERA in 2026 won't prevent him from being one of the best fantasy relievers this year. Draft Munoz and expect at least 30 saves and 80 strikeouts. Just don't be surprised or disappointed if he has a 2.50 ERA.
