Andrelton Simmons Slugging .326 Since All-Star Break
5 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons is slashing only .228/.317/.326 since the All-Star break heading into the final month of the season. Simmons' season got off to a promising start, hitting .308 with three home runs, 13 doubles and 18 runs batted in through his first 42 games. But a nasty ankle injury has completely derailed his entire season and has failed to make an impact since his return. Simmons was hitting right in the middle of the order at the time of his injury but now no longer is seeing those prime RBI opportunities. Simmons has been a fantasy disappointment after racking up 42 extra-base hits, 75 RBI and a .292 average in 2018.
