5 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (foot) has been placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive August 3. Simmons was scratched from the lineup on Saturday, and had an MRI done on his foot. The results have not been announced, but the fact he's been placed on the injured list isn't a good sign. David Fletcher will cover shortstop and bat sixth versus righty Shane Bieber. Fletcher isn't an All-Star with the bat, but he could provide some production for deep leagues and AL-only leagues with Simmons sidelined.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
