7 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown had a disappointing Week 1 performance. The Lions star receiver will look to bounce back against the Tampa Buccaneers in Week 2. St. Brown had three catches on six targets for only 13 yards. Most of the air yards went to Jameson Williams, who led the team in targets, catches, yards, and receiving touchdowns. St. Brown is still, without a doubt, the team's first option, but the USC product will see a more challenging matchup in Tampa Bay's defense. He should definitely see improvement from his season opener, as St. Brown has had a better Week 2 than Week 1 in every season of his career. He also had 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 last year against the Buccaneers. As always, St. Brown is a must-start in all fantasy leagues.--Jacob Billingslea

2 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has the potential to lead his position in fantasy points during Saturday's playoff game against the Washington Commanders. St. Brown was the overall WR1 in two different games during the 2024 regular season, and now, he has a chance to replicate that finish in an exciting playoff battle against the Commanders. The path to more fantasy glory could face some adversity, of course, against a Washington defense that has been under the radar this year. The Commanders have allowed the fewest receptions to opposing wide receivers, and they also rank in the top half of the league in terms of points allowed. St. Brown has repeatedly shown that he can overcome tough matchups, but his path to doing so may be a little tougher than for someone like Puka Nacua, who takes on the Philadelphia Eagles. As a result, Nacua is the overall WR1 and St. Brown is the overall WR2 in fantasy rankings, but the latter has an equally strong chance to finish this season as the highest-scoring fantasy receiver.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

3 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught six of his seven targets for 77 yards during Sunday's Week 18 win over the Minnesota Vikings. St. Brown had been riding a three-game touchdown streak, so fantasy managers will be understandably disappointed he didn't find the end zone on Sunday night despite leading the Lions in receiving yards. He finished the regular season as the overall WR3 in PPR leagues, and he was just 1.3 points behind the No. 2 wide receiver, Justin Jefferson. All in all, it was an impressive year for the 25-year-old, who totaled double-digit touchdowns for the second year in a row and set a career-high for number of visits to the end zone. Even with the Lions' offense placing attention on Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, Jahmyr Gibbs, and David Montgomery, fantasy managers were able to enjoy the fact that St. Brown carved out an enormous role for himself and delivered a terrific season once again, playing in all 17 games. He should be a mid-first-round pick in 2025 fantasy drafts, and managers could absolutely justify making him the second wide receiver off the board after Ja'Marr Chase.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

3 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has had another quality year, as expected. He's amassed only 1,186 yards, significantly down from the 2023-24 campaign. However, the wideout has posted a career-high 12 touchdowns this season. With the Lions looking to secure the No. 1 spot in the NFC, St. Brown and the Lions will meet Minnesota on Sunday night. He played well when these clubs met back in October, catching all eight targets for 112 yards and a touchdown. With another high-scoring contest anticipated between the NFC North powerhouses, St. Brown remains a top fantasy asset in all formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

3 months agoDetroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught eight of his 10 targets for 60 yards and one touchdown during Monday's Week 17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. The 25-year-old continues to play spectacular football, finding the end zone in four consecutive contests. He also ranks as the overall WR1 in PPR leagues since Week 11, putting up a whole 10 fantasy points more than the next-highest scorer, Puka Nacua. St. Brown has some of the best hands in the league, and his availability has been unmatched. He remains a high-end WR1 for Week 18 and should be one of the first few receivers off the board in 2025 fantasy drafts.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
