Alexander Mattison Hits Paydirt But Gains Just One Rushing Yard
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison carried the football four times for just one yard against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2. He recorded no receptions but was able to find paydirt on the ground, thus somewhat salvaging his day. Mattison was out-carried by backfield mate Zamir White to the tune of nine carries to four, qualifying that White is the primary back in close games. It was surprising to see Mattison receive no targets after catching four passes in Week 1. The former Minnesota Viking is shaping up to be a frustrating game script-dependent player usage-wise, and that's not great for his fantasy managers. That said, the Raiders face the dreary Panthers in Week 3, so every offensive player could see a boost in production.
