Alex Ovechkin Extends Scoring Streak To Four Games
Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin found the back of the net during their 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Ovechkin scored in the first frame on a snap shot that beat Flyers netminder Ivan Fedotov. This goal extended his goal-scoring streak to an impressive four games. During this four-game stretch, Ovechkin has tallied six points (four goals, two helpers), 3.5 shots on goal per game, three hits per game, and one blocked shot. Ovechkin is also just 16 goals away from surpassing Wayne Gretzky. Over his previous 12 contests, Ovechkin has tallied 10 points (seven goals and three helpers). Fantasy managers should continue to view the 39-year-old as an elite goal-scoring producer. He will look to stay hot on Sunday when the Capitals host the Utah Hockey Club.
