Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin was forced to leave his team's preseason contest versus the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday with a lower-body injury. Ovechkin departed just 9:40 into the tilt after an awkward hit on Flyers forward Travis Konecny. The 36-year-old will reportedly get re-evaluated on Saturday and should be considered day-to-day for now. Ovechkin registered 42 points (24 goals, 18 assists), 17 power-play points, 182 shots and 98 hits in 45 contests last season. He's still a borderline top-ten player in fantasy leagues rewarding hits and is line for another productive season in 2021-2022.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
