Detroit Red Wings goaltender Alex Lyon (upper body) will not be in the lineup on Friday against Chicago. He sustained an upper-body injury in Tuesday's matchup against Ottawa. Cam Talbot replaced Lyon in the second period on Tuesday and will log his 20th start of the campaign against the Blackhawks. The 2024-25 season has been a tricky campaign for Talbot, who owns an 8-9-2 record. He has recorded one shutout with a 3.03 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage. The veteran netminder will hope to register his third consecutive win on Friday, a feat he hasn't accomplished since March of last year.--Taavi Pailk
