Los Angeles Kings right wing Alex Laferriere (upper body) will not be in action on Thursday against Vancouver. He played less than 10 minutes in Monday's defeat against Edmonton and missed Wednesday's practice due to an upper-body injury. Laferriere has been slumping since the turn of the year but has become a big part of the Kings offense. The 23-year-old boasts 13 goals and 26 points in 41 games for his sophomore campaign. Samuel Helenius has been recalled from the minors to fill the gap in the lineup. Helenius has so far seen only limited action in the NHL, producing two assists in 21 games while averaging 8:33 of ice time.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
