Alex Gordon Still Can't Hit
6 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon went 0-for-4 on Thursday to continue another epic slide. Gordon's current slump, not to be confused with any of his other many slumps, consists of him hitting just .167 for the month of July. His .214 on-base percentage once again verifies that Gordon should not be seeing regular playing time in the majors, much less starting every day. He's got the third-worst on-base percentage this month, and since June 1, he's hitting just .190. Unfortunately, KC is paying him $20 million a year for this season and 2019, so even though he's that terrible, he likely won't see a drop in starts.
