Ottawa Senators left wing Alex DeBrincat extended his point streak to eight games with three assists in Saturday's 6-3 triumph over Detroit, becoming the first player in franchise history to set up six consecutive goals for the team. Drake Batherson and Thomas Chabot benefited from DeBrincat's work on Saturday, with two of the goals coming on the power play. The 24-year-old is now on 30 points through 30 games, with 13 of the points coming during the current streak. It's been a special run from DeBrincat, and he will now have a chance to match his career-best scoring streak in Sunday's meeting with Minnesota. Should he manage another three-point outing, DeBrincat would be making further history, as Erik Karlsson has so far been the only Senators player to post three-plus points in three consecutive games.--Taavi Pailk
