2 years agoKansas City Royals utility man Alcides Escobar knocked in the team's only run on Monday night, tallying his 22nd RBI of the season. It's also his first RBI since July 13, more than three weeks ago. Escobar's drought has partially been caused by a loss of playing time because the team is trying to let younger players get more opportunities (though Escobar's atrocious offensive performance certainly doesn't bolster his argument for staying in the everyday lineup), but that was still a span of 43 at-bats between bringing any runners home. It's not a good thing, but it is impressive.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
