Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar is a pretty terrible major league hitter, but he is still a major league hitter, which means he’s still incredibly talented and can have a big night at any moment. Friday, Escobar had the first of those nights in a long time. Escobar drove in four runs to help the Royals win a barn-burner in Cleveland, the first time he’s had that many RBI in one game since 2015. Escobar also took a bases-loaded walk, which is pretty dumbfounding for a player who only walked 15 times all season in 2017. Escobar still doesn’t have any value outside the deepest of leagues, but at least he paid off for deep AL-only owners on Friday.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
