Agustin Ramirez 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Rookie Catcher Poised for Bigger 2026
With all the talented catchers right now, Agustin Ramirez appears to be flying under the radar to some degree this season. It's not often that we see a rookie exceed 20 home runs and 15 steals, let alone a rookie catcher. But that's exactly what Ramirez did in 2025, finishing with 21 home runs, 16 steals, 72 runs, and 67 RBI with a .231/.287/.413 slash line. Don't let the slash line fool you into thinking Ramirez doesn't make enough contact, because he absolutely does. Ramirez registered an 86.3 zone and 74.5% overall contact rate last season while striking out just 19.3% of the time. He also posted above-average quality of contact metrics and had a solid .259 xBA and .457 xSLG. Ramirez isn't being drafted as a Top-5 catcher in fantasy drafts, but he has the upside to finish as one, especially if he gets up into the 25-30 homer range with double-digit steals and a better batting average than he had last season.
