New York Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech (lower body) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Florida Panthers. He is a no go against the reigning Stanley Cup champions due to a lower-body injury. Adam Boqvist (upper body) also remains out, meaning Mike Reilly (heart) is poised to re-enter the lineup. Reilly was diagnosed with a heart condition early in the season and has not played since Nov. 1. The 31-year-old has made 11 appearances in 2024-25, going scoreless with 15 shots and a plus-one rating. The Islanders will partner Reilly with Scott Mayfield on the third defensive pairing.--Taavi Pailk
