Adam Ottavino 2019 Outlook: Provides Holds Value In Stacked Bullpen
6 years agoAdam Ottavino has a history of not being able to stay on the field. When he has been able to stay on the mound, he demonstrated excellent skills. He had career-bests in wins (6), strikeouts (112), and innings pitched (78). Aside from 10 innings in 2015 (0.00 ERA), Ottavino had the best earned run average (2.43) of his career as well. He wasn't without flaws; he did have five blown saves. In the offseason, Ottavino chose to join an already stacked bullpen with the Yankees. He will not get many save opportunities but the Yankees and their offense will provide plenty of hold chances. If you are in a league that values holds, he is a must own. He currently has an ADP of 341 which means his services can be acquired off the waiver wire in most leagues.
