Tampa Bay Rays starting pitching prospect Adam Leverett is on a strong run at Double-A Montgomery and is nearing a return to Triple-A Durham. Leverett got a brief taste of Triple-A ball earlier in April but struggled as he posted a 5.25 through 12 innings of work. However, in his last 21 innings at Double-A, the right-hander has held a stellar 0.86 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, and a 2:12 BB:K ratio. Overall, through 75 frames at Double-A, Leverett has posted a solid 2.99 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. While Leverett has struggled to find consistency in the upper levels of the minor leagues, the Gordon State College product could be turning the corner. If he continues to produce at Double-A, he should have a good opportunity to spend most of next season at Triple-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerRead More News
