6 years agoKansas City Royals rookie middle infielder Adalberto Mondesi got a couple days off due to a sore shoulder, but he returned to the lineup on Monday and seemed completely back to normal. Mondesi dealt with a shoulder impingement earlier in the season while he was still in Triple-A, so the team was being overly cautious by benching him for a couple days after the mild injury. Mondesi went 0-for-4 in his return, and he is now hitting .259 on the season with three home runs and 11 stolen bases. Expect Mondesi to be in the running for the stolen base title in future years, and it wouldn't be surprising if he nabs another 15 bases before the end of 2018.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
