Aaron Gordon 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoOrlando Magic power forward Aaron Gordon had another good year of development in 2018-19, as he improved his shooting from deep and from the free-throw line while posting a career-high 3.7 assists per game. He was also almost fully healthy for the whole season after missing over 20 games in 2017-18. Gordon now has five NBA seasons under his belt, even though he only turned 24 in September. He has developed very well through the years and the upcoming season shouldn't be any different. Gordon has gone from a 29 percent three-point shooter to a guy who's nailing his treys at 35 percent, but his overall efficiency still needs some work. He shot 44.9 percent from the field last season which isn't too bad, but it could still be better. Gordon himself has said that he wants to be a better post-up player, and shooting better from close range will boost his numbers nicely. He had a couple of months with 50 percent shooting last season, so it's not unthinkable that he can improve his shooting efficiency significantly. Gordon has all the tools to be a guy that gets you close to 20 points and 10 rebounds a game.
