In practice on Saturday afternoon, Wallace produced the third-best practice time, clocking in at 29.990 for his fastest lap. Although he actually improved his time during his qualifying session (29.861), he fellread more...
2 hours agoOn Saturday afternoon, Tyler Reddick qualified eighth for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. As was to be expected, 2024 has been a struggle for the Spire Motorsports rookie. In his 13 non-exhibition starts this season, the 21-year-old has justread more...
3 hours agoNorth Carolina native Ty Gibbs will make his first Cup Series pole start in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In his first Cup start at his home track in 2023, Gibbs was dreadful, finishing 26th after starting 19th, which earned him just 9.9 DraftKings points forread more...
3 hours agoDespite being the third-highest-priced driver on the DraftKings slate this weekend, Ryan Blaney ($10,300) is a strong option on the DFS platform. He qualified back in 16th for this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which gives the defending series Champion good Place Differential upside. Blaney is also the defending winner of this race, which adds to his dominator potential on Sunday if he can find his way to the lead. In practice this weekend, the No. 12 Ford was one of the fastest on the long runs, ending up with the best 10-, 15-, and 20-lap average among Group A drivers. In the Next Gen car, Blaney ranks seventh in terms of average running position on this track type.Source: Win The Race
3 hours agoAfter winning the Xfinity Series race on Saturday afternoon, Chase Elliott went on to qualify fifth for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With five top-five finishes over the last seven races, and as one of the favorites to win the Cup championship in 2024, there isread more...
3 hours agoKyle Busch will likely be a popular DFS pick for this evening's Coca-Cola 600, and for good reason. Rowdy has finished sixth or better in six of his last seven starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the No. 8 Chevrolet has been one of the fastest on the low-wear, 1.5-mile tracks this season. Additionally, over the last seven races at Charlotte, Kansas, and Las Vegas, Busch has the sixth-best average running position. This weekend, he qualified 15th for the big race but should be much faster than that once the green flag waves. Busch ranked fourth-fastest in ten-lap average during practice on Saturday, and with his Place Differential potential as well as his high finishing upside, Rowdy is a great DFS value play this weekend being priced at just $8,000 on DraftKings.Source: Win The Race
3 hours agoAlex Bowman, who currently sits ninth in the NASCAR playoff standings, will start sixth in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Entering this weekend, Bowman has been on a bit of a hot streak as he has four consecutive top-10 finishes and eight total for the season. Despite not having a win since 2022, the Hendrick Motorsports star has been a model of consistency throughout 2024, averaging 12.7 for his finish, which ties him with Denny Hamlin for the sixth-best average in the Cup Series. In addition to the consistency he has shown, Bowman has also been strong at Charlotte in the Next Gen car averaging 45.55 DraftKings points over the last two races at this track. Given that his projected ownership is just 6% for this race and considering how reliable he has been both this season and on this track, Alex Bowman looks like a sneaky contrarian play in DFS this weekend.Source: Racing-Reference.info
3 hours agoNoah Gragson has two career NASCAR Cup Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and neither of them have been that great. He finished 24th in the 2022 race while driving for Kaulig Racing and then wound up 36th last year after an engine issue while racing for Legacyread more...
3 hours agoChristopher Bell will start third in Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. With just one top-10 finish in the last six races, the Joe Gibbs Racing star is in desperate need of a big weekend to help get his season back on track. While his win atread more...
3 hours agoDon't expect a lot out of Chase Briscoe in this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The No. 14 Ford was just 30th-fastest in practice on Saturday, although Briscoe was able to improve that speed during qualifying and will roll off the grid from 18th on Sunday evening. Chase did post a fourth-place finish here at Charlotte back in 2022 but his two other starts at this track have ended with 20th- and 23rd-place finishes. Although it's certainly possible that this No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing team finds some speed during the race on Sunday, it's nowhere near a guarantee. At $7,300 on DraftKings, Briscoe likely doesn't have enough upside to be a viable DFS pick this weekend.Source: Driver Averages
4 hours agoRicky Stenhouse Jr has never been called consistent in his career, but that is a good way to describe his performance at Charlotte Motor Speedway. In the Next Gen era, Stenhouse currently has back-to-back seventh-place finishes in the Coca-Cola 600, and he has posted a result of 15th or better in eight of the last nine points-paying races here. Five of those eight results were also top-10 finishes. This weekend, Stenhouse qualified 23rd for Sunday evening's big race, and at just $6,600 on DraftKings, that makes him a very attractive low-dollar pick on the DFS site. The upside is definitely there to roll the dice with Stenhouse on Sunday.Source: ifantasyrace
4 hours agoKyle Larson is attempting to pull off 1,100 miles of racing today, as he is scheduled to race both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600. However, rain may get in the way of that, as the forecast in Indianapolis isn't looking ideal. If the Indianapolis 500 would be delayed due to weather, it is unlikely that Larson will be able to race in both events, and he'll have to choose one or the other. There is growing speculation that Larson would choose to stay in Indy over heading to Charlotte, which would obviously affect fantasy lineups and bets for the NASCAR races. This is an ongoing situation that will be continually monitored.Source: Jeff Gluck
4 hours agoQualifying hasn't been Josh Berry's strong suit this season, so the fact that his No. 4 Ford will start from 13th in this weekend's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte is definitely noteworthy. Berry hasn't been flashy many times this year, but he's coming off of a podium finish at Darlington and looking to continue that momentum in the longest race of the season on Sunday. As far as momentum goes, Verry has ended up 16th or better in four straight Cup Series races, including a 15th-place run at Kansas earlier this month (another low-wear, 1.5-mile track). In practice on Saturday, Berry ranked ninth-fastest in 10-lap average, which is a positive sign for this No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing team. With that being said, Berry's $7,100 salary on DraftKings makes him incredibly difficult to confidently fit into a lineup, as his 13th-place starting position is already enough reason to stay away in DFS.Source: ifantasyrace
