Barboza landed a big upkick near the end of the first round that stunned Murphy but he recovered to pick apart Barboza for the rest of the fight. The bout didn't last long, as Harris was knocked out in under two minutes. Williams landed a big right hand that dropped Harris and then followed it up to force the referee to step in. Williams landed a big right hand in the pocket, that dropped Harris, and then a follow-up punch knocked Harris out cold. In 90 seconds of action, Williams landed 12 significant strikes. 1 week agoLuana Pinheiro looked to get back in the win column. However, it didn't go her way as she suffered a second-round submission loss to Angela Hill at UFC Vegas 92 on Saturday. During the fight, Pinheiro struggled to land power shots and effectively execute takedowns. After Hill threw a head kick, Pinheiro ducked and Hill attempted a guillotine choke. Not long after, Hill rolled and secured a mounted guillotine, forcing Pinheiro to tap. In 9:12 of action, Pinheiro landed a takedown and 17 significant strikes. This was Hill's second consecutive victory since losing to Mackenzie Dern by a unanimous decision in May 2023. Hill was aggressive throughout the first round and ended up in a dominant position. In the second round, Hill found an opening and jumped for a guillotine choke. She eventually rolled over into a mounted guillotine, making Pinheiro tap. Yanez entered the bout as the favorite as it was a step down in competition after back-to-back losses to ranked opponents. In the fight, Yanez landed a big right hook that dropped his opponent and he followed it up with ground strikes to get the TKO win. Gorimbo entered the bout as the favorite as he was on a two-fight winning streak, but the bout didn't see much action. Gorimbo took Brahimaj down five times and controlled him for over 10 minutes to win the fight with control time, while also landing 110 strikes. 1 week agoEdson Barboza suffered a decision loss to Lerone Murphy in the main event of UFC Vegas 92 on Saturday. Barboza entered the bout on a two-fight winning streak but was the underdog. In the fight, Barboza struggled from the get-go as Murphy was the faster and more active striker. The Brazilian also struggled to defend takedowns and he finished the fight being outstruck 259-to-79 and was taken down four times as he was controlled for over five minutes.
