PGA DFS DraftKings Pivots: Sleepers and Value Picks- Wyndham Championship

billy horschel PGA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy golf

Rob Giltner breaks down some DraftKings DFS pivots, value plays, and sleepers for The 2022 Wyndham Championship. Daily fantasy golf advice on under-owned golfers and who to avoid for your lineups.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to my PGA DFS Pivots for DraftKings! This week, the PGA event is The Wyndham Championship.

We have reached the final tournament of the season before the playoffs start. Golfers on the FedEx Cup bubble will be jockeying for position to make the playoffs and retain their cards. The bubble is a storyline to follow this week.

Golfers should expect easy scoring conditions with an emphasis on finding fairways. The field is weaker than a typical tour event which makes finding accurate pivots more important.

The Wyndham Championship - DFS Lineup Pivots

Billy Horschel ($10,300)- Billy Horschel is currently projected to be under 15% owned. Horschel has not played since The Open last month when he finished in 21st place. His projected ownership is surprising considering his course history. Horschel finished in second place at this event in 2020 and tied for sixth place in 2019. The 2014 winner of the FedEx Cup is also in good form. Over the last 24 rounds, he ranks 16th in ball-striking and third in strokes gained off-the-tee. Finally, outside of Will Zalatoris, one could argue that Horschel is the second-best player in the field. With his moderate ownership, Horschel makes for a great pivot off chalky Russel Henley and Sung-Jae Im.

Mark Hubbard ($7,900)- An opportunity to capitalize on some possible recency bias exists with Mark Hubbard. Hubbard was a popular play last week when he missed the cut. While he did miss the cut, he did not play all that bad at The Rocket Mortgage. He gained strokes on approach, off-the-tee, and tee-to-green. Over the last 24 rounds, he ranks fifth in the field in strokes gained approach. Finally, with the majority of approach shots coming from 150-175, Hubbard ranks second in the field in proximity from that range. Let's capitalize on some possible ownership discounts on Hubbard.

Taylor Moore ($7,300)- Taylor Moore’s projected ownership number currently sits under five percent. This is surprising for Moore who is in great form. Last week in Detroit, he gained 6.4 strokes on approach and 9.3 strokes tee-to-green. He was able to record a top ten place finish at The Rocket Mortgage. It was another strong performance for Moore, he also played well at The Barbasol Championship. Moore has struggled for the most part this season but is playing the best golf he has played on tour. He is cheaply priced in this weak field, and with his projected ownership, he makes for a great sleeper option.

Ryan Moore ($6,600)- Another Moore I am considering is Ryan Moore. Moore is very cheap across the industry and projected to be very low-owned. He has not played well at this event lately but did finish in sixth place in 2018. Moore has dealt with a few injuries lately that has had a strong impact on his game. He has finally been able to play consistent golf and is showing flashes of form. In particular, Moore ranks eighth in the field in proximity from the key ranges of 150-175.  If you are needing a low-owned salary relief play for a large field GPP, look at Ryan Moore.
